I want to reinvent the way people see, sort and share collections.
— Peter Tertzakian
It all started with a light bulb …
In the late ’90s, Energyphile founder Peter Tertzakian stood up on stage for a presentation and began with the story of a light bulb he’d picked up at an antique store. It may not seem like a big deal now, but at a time when presentations were still happening thanks to overhead projectors, it was the start of something big. The responses he got confirmed that.
In his presentation for Avenue Magazine’s Innovation Event, Peter talks about his journey from that stage to becoming a bestselling author to launching Energyphile in 2020. Finding inspiration in analogs as diverse as Aesop’s fables, Charles Dickens and Netflix, he created a digital platform that has changed the way we make and tell stories digitally.
